For a while I used to cut out images and advertisements from newspapers and magazines which I later glued into little 'inspiration' books. I was looking for similarities in typography, form and function, as well as the effect of visuals. Glueing them together on double pages made me focus even more on the consequential dialog between the left and right pages.

Here are some pages from the first book that was originally called 'Een zomerzotheid' by Cissie van Maxveld, illustrated by Hans Borrebach. It's interesting to see how well the different content can sometimes work together. For me this was a meaningful experiment; others might have seen it as a crazy hobby. (zotheid)
